Eating breakfast in the morning awakens your body and gives fuel and energy to the muscles you’re going to want to work out later on. Once you eat a healthy breakfast your metabolism will kick start and be ready to roll by lunch time. That is why it is important to eat a healthy breakfast when you are trying to lose weight. Of course, there are more benefits to eating in the morning; I find that eating a really healthy breakfast in the morning not only makes me feel more alert by the time I get to work, it sets the tone of healthy food choices throughout the day. Skipping breakfast could also lead to bad lunch choices.
If you’ve got a tough workout planned for the day, skipping breakfast will show in your results and in your effort. Your muscles will not have the energy they need and therefore will not perform to their max. When you’re ready to grab your Fit Four gloves and hit the gym, you want to do so with a fueled body. If you don’t have any time in the morning to prepare a breakfast, try to either set it up the night before, make a shake or grab a piece of fruit.
